Reboux - Harmony Kindom Cat In Hat Box Treasure Jest V1
-
Product Description
A cat gets comfortable in a hat box labeled with the name of the fictional shop “Fanny Fanshaw’s Frivolities,” and, the destination of the item within: “Nelly’s Wedding.” An engaging little mouse seems to welcome us to this scene.
On the interior is a winged sandal and the carving “Crete,” for a Greek island. Since Greece now uses the Euro as currency, the symbol is found to the right of the sandal.
This box figurine takes its name from Caroline Reboux, who in the mid-1800’s came on the fashion scene as the first important name in the history of millinery.
David Lawernce’s acorn is hidden in the pattern on the box. This was his 112th HK carving.
