What methods of payment do you accept?
I welcome payment via VISA, MasterCard, Discover and American Express securely onsite; Amazon Pay, Apple Pay, Google Pay, or; US Postal Service Money Orders.

What about my personal details and credit/debit card information, are they safe with you?
When you enter the necessary information to complete your purchase(s) all information is collected via secure server software (SSL) that encrypts your personal information, preventing it from being accessed or read by a third party. Unless given to me for phone orders, I personally do not have access to credit card information. While all payment processing providers and myself take reasonable steps to protect your information, online security is something that everyone has to work at to make e-commerce safer. Do your prices include tax?
Currently I am only required to apply tax to orders that ship within my nexus state (Colorado) however, due to recent changes in online sales tax laws, you may be required to pay and report state sales tax on all of your online purchase(s) regardless of what state they are shipped from. Refer to your state and local tax laws to determine whether or not this requirement applies to you.

What are your shipping charges?
Shipping is charged based on the weight of your purchase(s) and the ship-to address.

PLEASE NOTE: The weight of single items includes packing materials therefore, if multiple items are purchased and the combined weight is significantly less than what you were charged for, a cost adjustment and/or refund will be made after your order ships.

When will my order ship?
Generally, orders are shipped within one to two (1-2) business days of purchase - Saturdays whenever possible. During the holidays however, it may take a little longer but rarely* more than two (2) postal service business days. Orders placed after 6:00 am MST will ship the next business day.
*It takes a lot to stop me however, severe weather conditions could possibly cause some delay.

How do I know if my order is on the way?
When your order ships a notification* will be sent to the email address you provided. If you did not receive a notification within 3 days of placing your order, please check your spam folder and/or log in to your Animal Emporium account or, feel free to contact me.

WHAT IS YOUR ORDER CUT-OFF DATE FOR CHRISTMAS 2023 DELIVERY?
Orders must be placed by end of day December 14, 2023 for delivery by Christmas* - This applies to ALL carriers and services.
Orders placed between December 15 & December 26 WILL NOT SHIP until December 27th or later.
*Unfortunately, this can not be guaranteed.

How long will it take for my order to arrive?
Typically it takes 2 - 7 days for delivery depending on chosen shipping method and destination. During the holidays or, if there is severe weather anywhere between Dillon, CO and you, delivery delays should be expected. Nevertheless, if you ever feel your order is taking too long, please don't hesitate to contact me.

NOTE: With the exception of USPS Express Mail delivery dates are not guaranteed.

I decided I don't want my purchase. Can I return it?
If for some reason you decide you would like to return your purchase please contact me within two (2) days of receipt for return instructions. Unless other arrangements are made, returns must be sent back to me within 14 days. Refused orders/deliveries will not be refunded.

Can I return Gift Cards or exchange them for cash?
No. Gift Cards are not returnable, can not be refunded and, can not be exchanged for cash.

My order arrived damaged. What should I do?
Should your order or any items within it arrive damaged please inform me of any breakage immediately, be prepared to provide photographs, and be sure to retain the damaged piece(s) along with all packaging as you will be required to return it/them and/or present it/them to the postal service for inspection. All orders are shipped insured however, claims can not be submitted without proper documentation.

Do you ship outside the United States?
Due to cost and various shipping issues I have encountered in the past, I do not ship internationally at this time. Please note: If a proxy shipper is used to forward orders beyond U.S. borders, Dezign Zoo™/Animal Emporium Plus can not be held liable for loss or damage.

I found a coupon code on the internet but it doesn't work. Why?
There are several online sites that publish Animal Emporium coupon codes without my permission and/or knowledge - don't ever click on and/or copy those as they are bogus and could possibly contain virus, cryptomining or other malicious code. Active coupons are limited time only and, though I occasionally post coupons on Twitter and Facebook, most legitimate coupons are either sent via email and/or posted within the Animal Emporium Plus webstore.

Do you have a brick and mortar store?
At this time Animal Emporium Plus is an online only business.

What are your hours of business?
Orders can be placed 24/7 however, Dezign Zoo™/Animal Emporium Plus is a one person operation and since I often have to leave my "store" to drop orders off at the post office, shop for supplies, etc., it really isn't possible to have set hours. However, I do take customer service very seriously and will always reply to emails and return phone calls as quickly as possible - usually within only a couple of hours.

Do you still donate a percentage of sales to Best Friends Animal Society?
Absolutely! Along with my customer's help I have been a supporter of BFAS since 1994.
