      Peter chose beavers as the theme for his 2011 Harmony Kingdom Romance Annual for two reasons. Firstly, beavers pair for life, a requirement for the collection, and secondly, he hadn’t carved a beaver themed box figurine since 1995’s “Damnable Plot”.

      This Treasure Jest is replete with inscriptions: “Castor Canadensis” is the scientific name for the Canadian Beaver, “lodge” is the home of the beaver, “kits” are the young, and “merkin” – well, we suggest you look that up on Wikipedia. The interior shows a beaver with a chainsaw, a reference to its ability to fell trees quickly. Look carefully at the beaver tails and you may be able to see the initials of two HK founders.
