For Peter’s 46th birthday he was given the gift of fly-fishing lessons at a recently opened trout lake. He was immediately "hooked" and inspired to carve this box figurine.
The owners of Broad Oak Trout Lakes are Chris Lee and Charlotte Morgan, and their initials can be found near the base. Types of trout are inscribed on the lid and interior – Brook, Golden, Tiger, Rainbow, Apache and Brown. The oak leaf and acorn represent the names of the two lakes - Oak Lake and Acorn Lake. These lakes are a haven for wildlife, numerous dragonflies can be found there and three are carved on this box figurine.
As with any hand-tinted product, unique variations should be expected.
